XD Design is pretty well-known for its range of anti-theft backpacks, and the company is back with a new product – the Bobby Urban. Unlike the standard Bobby backpack, the Urban features quite a number of interesting features, including a steel-reinforced lock for extra security.
Without a doubt the Bobby Urban is designed to be a secure backpack, and all zippers are hidden once the bag is closed, which should deter thieves from trying to get into the bag. Aside from that, it’s also made from water-repellent, anti-cut material.
But one of the main selling points of the Urban is the steel lock. Not only is it used to secure the main compartment of the backpack, users can even lock the bag itself to a fixed object – like a bench – to prevent it from being stolen.
In terms of pricing, the Bobby Urban doesn’t cost as much as, say, the Peak Design Everyday Backpack, but it’s still not the most affordable backpack. Right now, the early bird promotion offers the backpack for 75 euro (about RM365), which also includes free shipping to Malaysia. Once this offer ends, the Urban will go for 80 euro (approximately RM385) without free shipping.
