Lenovo is preparing to launch a new phone. At least that’s the case from Chang Cheng, the Vice President of Lenovo Group, who posted a teaser image of the launch on his Weibo account.
The post provides some clues about the upcoming phone. Features like quick charge, A.I integration, and a total of five cameras are stated in the post. Cheng also adds the term “thin and lasting” which gives an idea of the phone will be thin despite the big 6000mAh battery.
Despite not actually naming the device, the name appears to be the “Lenovo S5”; as clued by the time stamp.
Cheng posted an image last January of a Lenovo phone that image shows a phone with a curved glass back. It is yet to be known whether that phone is the one being teased.
Lenovo Malaysia recently stated that it will not be releasing any new phone under the Lenovo brand here. Instead, Lenovo will be solely focusing on releasing Moto branded phone here in Malaysia. So, chances of the soon-to-be-announced S5 to officially come here are pretty slim.
