It looks like Huawei is getting ready to release a entry-level smartphone, the Huawei Y9. The smartphone has it made its way through the US Federal Communications Commission, which also provides us with some first looks at it.
The FCC documentation gives us a clear look at Y9’s exterior. The usual suspects are all here- from the slim bezel screen to the dual camera on the back. Based on the images, the front of the phone will be taken by the 18:9 aspect ratio display of unknown size.
The Huawei Y9 will have no shortage of cameras as the phone will have a total of four cameras- two on the front and two on the back. Something that’s becoming a trend among smartphones from the company.
There’s also a fingerprint sensor at the back of the phone. The bottom of the phone is where you will find the 3.5mm headphone jack and also a micro-USB port. Huawei is putting a generously-sized 3900mAh battery on the Y9.
Despite the recent issues that Huawei is facing in the US, the company looks to still be planning to release phones in the country. Little is known with regards to its full specifications and release date. Though, with its passing through the FCC, the release should be pretty imminent.
