A set of promotional images have surfaced on Weibo for the upcoming Huawei P20 Pro. The photos which seems official show the triple lens camera module that has been teased all this while; which is apparently not present on the smaller P20.
The camera module looks to be a combination of the dual-sensor seen on the P20, as well as a separate single sensor next to the flash unit. This corroborates with the leaked sketches we have seen previously online. Also retained is the Leica branding, which is not a surprise as Huawei has a long-standing agreement with Leica in camera development.
Meanwhile, the images showed that there is also no fingerprint sensor on the rear part of the phone. It could be that Huawei will be placing the fingerprint sensor for the P20 Pro on the front after all, copying the standard model.
The official-looking promotional images show two different colours for the P20 Pro: Blue and Black. Then again, we are not quite convinced at what we looking here though since the placement of the third camera seems rather odd.
Well, guess we just have to wait for the official launch event which is set for 27 March in order to see the new flagship device for real.
