It was once a premium feature but given its popularity, the 18:9 display is starting to become a norm within the smartphone industry. In fact, the feature can now be seen on budget-oriented devices such as the Wiko Tommy3 which has just been released in Malaysia.
Equipped with a 5.45-inch FWVGA+ (960×480) IPS display, the Tommy3 is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor which was likely supplied by MediaTek given the chip’s PowerVR GE8100 GPU. The phone also carries a 5.45-inch FWVGA+ (960×480) display alongside 1GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage.
The LTE-enabled phone also features an 8MP rear camera and 5MP front camera as well as 2500mAh battery. For the Malaysian market, the phone is pre-installed with Android 7.1 Nougat.
Price-wise, the Wiko Tommy3 goes for RM 329 and can be obtained immediately through the brand’s retailers throughout Malaysia. To know more about the phone, just head on to Wiko Malaysia’s official website.
