Samsung appears to have resumed Android Oreo updates for the Galaxy S8. At least that seems to be the case as users in Germany are already seeing the update. Which could indicate that whatever problems it had earlier have been resolved.
The Galaxy S8 and S8+ update to Android 8.0 Oreo was originally started back last week. However, it was quickly pulled after barely being available for 24 hours. Samsung did not provide a reason for the change of heart, and nobody has a clue about what happened.
Those looking to check if they have the latest firmware should be on the lookout for version G950FXXU1CRB7 and G955XXU1CRB7 for the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8+. It’s not entirely clear where the updates are currently available, but Galaxy S8 users should be seeing it at some point soon.
