AirAsia has announced that the members of its loyalty program, the AirAsia BIG will now able to utilize free in-flight internet that is provided by ROKKI on selected flights. All they need to do is login into their BIG Member account once the service is activated during those flights.
That beings said, the service is not exactly identical to normal Wi-Fi hotspot services that offered on business premises though. For those who not familiar with ROKKI in-flight Wi-Fi services, the amount of data offered to users is actually very minuscule and more suitable for e-mails or instant messaging services rather than web browsing or even social media.
As for the free Internet for AirAsia BIG Members, they are limited to the 2MB Chats Plan which provides access to WhatsApp, WeChat, LINE, KakaoTalk, and Viber. Usually, this particular plan costs RM 9 although paying customers would receive 3MB quota instead.
While you might not able to fully experience Internet when you are up on the air, there is still free in-flight entertainment on ROKKI-enabled AirAsia flights for you to utilize in order to keep yourself occupied. To learn more about the service, head on to ROKKI or AirAsia BIG’s official website.
