A video of the forthcoming Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s has leaked online. Showing that Xiaomi’s Bezel-less phone is getting similar features to that of Apple’s iPhone X – namely the multitasking gesture and also facial recognition.
The video shows how the multitasking gesture will be implemented on the phone. The gesture seems to be similar to the way you multitask on the iPhone X, by swiping up from the bottom of the phone.
Xiaomi’s latest take on the front facing camera is probably the least obtrusive we’ve seen so far on a bezel-less phone. Instead of having a notch similar to the iPhone X, or having the camera below the screen like it did on the Mi Mix, the new phone has a discreet camera at the top right corner of the phone.
A leaked teaser image of the phone also lists down some information that we can expect. By the looks of it, the Mi Mix 2s will have an even slimmer bezel than before. The banner also describes the design as “Full-Screen design 3.0”. According to GSMArena, the phone will have an on-screen fingerprint sensor with a pair of 12MP rear cameras. Other specifications include a 5.99-inch screen, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset, 8GB of RAM and a whopping 256GB of internal storage.
If the rumours are to be true, this seems to be a pretty worthy successor to the Mi Mix 2. With that in mind, there has been no word on when the new phone will be launched.
