Panasonic Lumix ZS200 compact camera that packs a 1-inch sensor with a wide and long lens. All in a package that is barely bigger than your typical smartphone.
At the heart of the camera is a 1-inch sensor, similar to the sensor that is used in the Sony RX100 Mark V in size. It also has a 3-inch touch screen on the rear that is unfortunately fixed in place; however there is also a 2.3 million-dot EVF with 0.53x magnification for an alternate way to compose photos.
Not only that, the Lumix ZS200 can record 4K 30/24p videos, while the Panasonic 4K PHOTO mode includes nifty features such as Post Focus for after-capture refocusing and Sequence Composition where a series of action shots can be combined in-camera to create a composite image.
Panasonic opted to fit in a wider and longer lens into the Lumix ZS200, with a lens range of 24-360mm and aperture of f/3.3-6.4. It does not have the fastest lens but it is perfect as a compact travel camera. Other features include both WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity for remote camera controls and image transfers to connected devices.
The Panasonic Lumix ZS200 will retail at US$799 (RM 3,106) when it goes on store shelves starting in March.
