Apple recently announced that it is expanding its Apple Music student subscription to 82 additional markets around the world including Malaysia. Students studying undergraduate or post-graduate courses can enjoy over 50% discount on Apple Music subscription, depending on the country they are in; in Malaysia, Apple Music student rate is only RM6.90 a month, the usual price is RM14.90.
Apple Music student subscription is available for students enrolled in degree-granting universities and colleges. You can sign up at Apple’s website, and enjoy the discounted rate for up to 4 years while you study. Of course, you will need to verify that you are indeed a student via UNiDAYS, a student validation service. UNiDAYS will revalidate your student status periodically. If you are no longer a student or if you have a student subscription for a full 48 months, your subscription will automatically be switched to Apple Music Individual subscription at RM14.90 a month.
Apple Music student subscription was first introduced in 2016, but was only available limited number of countries. Today, Apple is expanding the student membership to 79 markets, followed by three more markets on 26 February 2018. Apple Music student membership is now available in Isreal, Malaysia, the Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Taiwan, and more.
