As we seen recently, fusing voice assistant with a connected device is all the rage these days; HP is no different. HP has announced that it is planning to bring a voice assistant to a number of its printers. This allows you to print what you desire just by asking your printer.
HP is making all of the popular voice assistants available in its printers. You can soon choose whether to use Google Assistant, Amazon’s Alexa or Microsoft’s Cortana to help you with your printing needs.
According to HP, the voice assistant will be able to tell you your printer’s ink levels, help you change your printer settings before you print, and more. There are also voice assistant specific action based on which assistant that you are using. For example, If you use Google Assistant, you can ask the printer to print your Google Calendar while Amazon’s Alexa can print out your shopping list if you want it to do so.
With this feature, it would enable a hands-free printing experience for the users. According to HP, they are marketing this feature to be use more at home rather than at the office. Also, look out for more devices to integrate voice assistant later this year.
