It looks like MSI is about to debut two brand new graphics card this year. Dubbed the MSI RX 570 Armor MK2 and RX 580 Armor MK2, MSI’s “newest” graphics cards are apparently revisions of the company’s older RX 500-series Armor cards. Despite being revisions, MSI’s newest lineup of graphics cards do come a handful of new features.
When it comes to design, both the MSI RX 570 Armor MK2 and RX 580 Armor MK2, according to folks at VideoCardz, come with a black and red cooler shroud, which houses two large open-air cooling fans. Likewise, these graphics cards also come with a black and red full cover backplate as well. For those may not be aware, the older RX 500-series Armor graphics cards came with a black and white colour scheme.
Another difference that can be found on MSI’s Armor MK2 graphics cards is that both come with a slightly different PCB design compared to their predecessors. In addition, the cooling system of both the MSI RX 570 Armor MK2 and RX 580 Armor MK2 have been slightly altered to provide better cooling efficiency as well.
Unfortunately, aside from details regarding its design and hardware features, other key details like clock speeds, pricing, and date of release were not mentioned in the leak. Of course, we do expect MSI to announce these details when it makes both the MSI RX 570 Armor MK2 and RX 580 Armor MK2 official in the coming weeks.
