Rumour: The Nokia 10 To House Snapdragon 845 And Five Cameras

With almost every smartphone set to showcase a premium smartphone model running on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset this year, Nokia might have plans on kicking its pomp and grandeur up a notch with its upcoming Nokia 10.

A sketch recently discovered on the Chinese search engine, Baidu, showcases a rather barebones blueprint of what appears to be the Nokia 10 and an interesting new main camera design.

Nokia 10 rough drawing 2

In the sketch, you can see a large circular area in the upper part of the phone’s rear, with one smaller circle situation in the middle, and six equally smaller circles forming a ring around the circumference of the big circle. According to the notes (i.e. the Chinese characters found in the sketch), five of these circles will be small lenses, while the remaining two will be the camera’s LED flashes.

At this point, the source of the image is questionable, and no one knows for sure who it was that leaked this image. That said, the design and purported layout of the camera seems to fall in line with Zeiss’ own patented Miniature zoom camera design – which was announced last year – and consists of several lenses arranged in a circular pattern; it can also be rotated.

On top of that, Zeiss and Nokia’s parent company, HMD Global, have been working together since last year, and the Zeiss branding has been something of a mainstay with Nokia since before the company was sold off by Microsoft.

Again, this is merely a rumour, and so until HMD Global makes an official announcement, we ask that you all take this news with a pinch of salt.
