Officially unveiled in India just last week, the honor 9 Lite may be coming to Malaysia. Although it has similar hardware and features as the honor 7X, the 9 Lite does have its own appeals too.
We spotted the honor 9 Lite while we were going through SIRIM’s database. Registered under Huawei Malaysia with the model number LLD-L21, the 9 Lite may just be made available here in the near future. After all, every device sold in Malaysia – officially, that is – has to be certified by SIRIM first.
On the surface, the 9 Lite doesn’t look very different from the honor 7X, but it actually has a slightly smaller 5.65-inch Full HD+ 2160 x 1080 FullView Display with minimal bezels; the 7X comes with a larger 5.93-inch panel instead. Aside from that, unlike the 7X’s metal chassis, 9 Lite has a glass and metal construction.
Beyond these differences, the 9 Lite also features a HiSilicon Kirin 659 processor paired with 3GB or 4GB of RAM, two choices of expandable storage (32GB or 64GB), 13MP + 2MP rear cameras, 13MP + 2MP front-facing shooters, and a 3,000mAh battery. The 9 Lite ships with EMUI 8.0 based on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box too.
At the time of writing, it still remains to be seen if honor Malaysia will in fact launch the honor 9 Lite in our market. Hopefully, we’ll hear from the company in the coming weeks.
