The New Acer Swift 5 Finally Lands In Malaysia: A Sub-1kg Productivity Machine

Originally launched at IFA 2017, the latest iteration of Acer Swift 5 laptop has finally landed in Malaysia. The series which is the spiritual successor to the famed Aspire S13 notebook, the company pushes the boundaries of its ultraportable laptop even further with the new model.

With the help of its magnesium-lithium alloy chassis, the new Swift 5 weights at only 970 grams. Despite its ultra-lightweight nature, Acer still able to pack an 8th Gen Intel Core processor into the laptop as well as a 14-inch full HD IPS touchscreen display.

The new Swift 5 is also equipped with 8GB DDR4 RAM and 256GB solid state drive alongside 802.11n wireless LAN with MU-MIMO setup. Comes standard with fingerpintIt also comes standard with a 36Whr battery which provides the laptop with up to 8 hours of battery life.

Price-wise, the new Swift 5 can be obtained at RM 3,799 for the variant with Intel Core i5-8250U while the unit with Intel Core i7-8550U is listed at RM 4,599. Both variants are available immediately through all Acer retailers nationwide.
