Gigabyte has unveiled its latest lineup of motherboards called the J/N series. These motherboards feature an Intel Gemini Lake (Pentium Silver/ Celeron) processor built-in. For those who are not aware, motherboards of this type are usually used inside office PCs, school computers and used by general consumers who do not require much computational horsepower to carry out light tasks.
When it comes to design, Gigabyte’s J/N series motherboards come in an all black colour scheme. Interestingly, these motherboards also feature a fan-less cooling system; this means that the built-in Intel Gemini Lake CPU is cooled passively, instead of being air-cooled. Other features of these motherboards include “humidity protected glass fabric PCB”, Ultra Durable components, and a few others.
Those aside, Gigabyte’s newest lineup of motherboard’s also support HDMI 2.0 4K at 21:9 resolution. The onboard native Intel WiFi adapter, according to the company, is capable of bandwidth speeds “exceeding” 1Gbps. In addition, 2400MHz UDIMM DDR4 RAMs, and M.2 SATA SSDs, are also supported.
Unfortunately, aside from releasing key details regarding its new Gemini Lake-equipped motherboards, Gigabyte made no mention of their local pricing and release date. It’s also not known whether the company will bring these motherboards into Malaysia.
