Sony PlayStation is launching its own line of figurines, and frankly, they look absolutely stunning. Known as Totakus, these figurines are the brainchild of ThinkGeek – the merchandising arm of the U.S. video game retailer GameStop.
In total, ThinkGeek made a total of seven 10-centimeter high and immaculately detailed Totaku figurines, which more or less resemble Nintendo’s Amiibo figurines.
The characters in the set comprises Kratos from the upcoming God of War, Sackboy from LittleBigPlanet, PaRappa the Rapper, Crash Bandicoot, Heihachi from the Tekken series, The Bloodborne Hunter, and the Feisar FX350 racing ship from Wipeout.
Now, just to be clear, these figurines don’t have any extra Near Field Communications (NFC) built into their base, so placing them on top of your DualShock 4 controller’s touchpad would do nothing (except be a hindrance to your valuable gaming time, perhaps). In short, these figurines are just another set of collectibles.
Each Totaku figurine will cost US$9.99 (~RM39) per piece, and will be made available on 23 March 2018 in the United States. Even though ThinkGeek does ship its products outside of the U.S. including Malaysia, it is not known at the moment whether these collectibles are going to be made available outside of its native market.
