Samsung Brazil has let slip that Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ units will be receiving the Android Oreo update. The Brazil branch of the smartphone company uploaded revised manuals of the two smartphones to its official support pages for the 2017 flagships.
The company has already announced that it is trying to put out a stable build of Android Oreo for beta testers by the end of January. It’s unclear if this step is being skipped in favour of an earlier release for the OS update.
Updated online manuals is a sign that Samsung is ready to release the update to the smartphones; the same thing happened when the Galaxy S7 and S7+ were slated to receive the Android Nougat updates.
It shouldn’t be long now for Galaxy S8 and S8+ users before they receive the latest version of the Android operating system on their devices. In the meantime, interested parties can read up (in Portuguese) the updated manual through this PDF link.
