Officially unveiled back at CES 2018, the new Dell XPS 13 will be launching in Malaysia next week. To be specific, Dell’s latest ultraportable will be landing here on 26 January.
In terms of raw hardware power, the new XPS 13 isn’t all that different from its predecessor, although it does boast several meaningful upgrades. For one, it now comes with a 13.3-inch 4K or 1080p InfinityEdge display with very minimal bezels, eight generation Intel Core i5-8250U or Core i7-8550U processor paired with up to 16GB of RAM, as well was SSD storage options ranging from 128GB to 512GB.
Another thing that’s new with the 2018 XPS 13 is the addition of a white-and-gold colour option, and it looks quite sleek. We imagine those who love white devices will appreciate the new colourway. Don’t worry about staining the white palm rest either – Dell said it is stain-resistant.
Last but not least is improved thermals -thanks to the GORE Thermal Insulation – and battery life on the new XPS 13. According to Dell, the new laptop has up to 19 hours of battery life. Of course, this is limited to the Full HD model; we imagine the 4K variant will consume more power.
The new Dell XPS 13 will be available in Malaysia from 26 January onwards – its retail price will be revealed then. As for the Dell XPS 15 2-in-1, the company is still in discussion whether or not to bring in the convertible to the Malaysian market.
