Motorola Moto E5 Photo Leaked; Includes A Rear Fingerprint Scanner

A render of the Moto E5 has appeared online. The purported mid-range device looks to have adopted some changes in design, yet still resembles the Moto aesthetic.

It would appear that the front fingerprint sensor has been moved to the back where the Motorola logo sits. In fact, the logo looks to be printed onto the scanner itself, bridging together older design ideas with the new model.

The screen is expected to be a 5-inch display, with an undetermined resolution. The Moto E4 was shipped with a 720p display, so the new model may follow tradition and have similar specifications as well. At the top of the display sits a selfie flash accompanying the front facing camera; a good addition for low light selfie photography.

The Moto E5 should be the direct successor to the Moto E4

Motorola looks to have elected to use microUSB as the data/power connector for the Moto E5, rather than the modern USB Type-C. This could be a sign of the intended market, where low-cost is more important than bleeding edge technology.

Other than the smooth, pebble-like body design, the Moto E5 does not stand out when compared to the other smartphones in the market. No other specifications has been shared, so we are currently waiting for more hints coming from any other certification authorities to know what is under the skin of Motorola’s latest smartphone.
