U Mobile has introduced two new mobile prepaid plans to complement its existing offerings. The UMI 36 and UMI 26 expand the middle tier prepaid mobile data plans from the telco; offering expanded options for mobile data caps and a higher limit on Video-Onz.
UMI 36 costs RM36 a month, and brings with it a monthly data quota of 7.5GB. It also includes an additional 7.5GB of Video-Onz, effectively making the total useable data for the month 15GB. It also includes unlimited music streaming via Music-Onz and a 30-day subscription to JOOX VIP (the music streaming service owned by Tencent).
On the other hand, UMI 26 costs RM26 a month includes 2.5GB of data. There is also unlimiting streaming of Music-Onz, and 2.5GB of Video-Onz streaming. Like the UMI 36, the 30-day free subscription to JOOX VIP is included as part of the deal.
Additionally, both plans have zero-rate data use for WhatsApp and WeChat. And provide free data for YouTube between the hours of 2am and 10am.
U Mobile is advising customers to pick up the UMI 36 and UMI 26 plans with the Unlimited Power Plan for new prepaid subscriptions. This provides users with free use of Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram; which is a good way to make the most of its prepaid plans.
