It looks like new updates have surfaced recently regarding Intel’s highly anticipated Core i7-8809G processor. According to new reports, the processor was spotted being listed on Intel’s official website. In addition, several key specifications of the aforementioned CPU were also detailed.
Based on the listing found on Intel’s official website, it seem that the Core i7-8809G will be featuring a clock speed of 3.1GHz along with 8MB of cache. Besides that, this processor also comes with four CPU cores and eight threads. The TDP rating of this processor is rated at 100W for both the CPU package as well as the Vega-based GPU (Radeon RX Vega M).
Additionally, the Intel Core i7-8809G is also compatible with dual-channel DDR4-2400 memory. That aside, folks at VideoCardz have also mentioned the existence of two other, unreleased Intel G-series processors: Core i7-8705G and Core i7-8706G. The tech site stated that the differences between these two processors are found on their respective clock speeds and Vega GPU Compute Units.
Knowing how the Core i7-8809G is already being listed on Intel’s website, one can’t help but think that the company will likely launch its new G-series processors very soon. Of course, nothing is confirmed until Intel makes an official announcement. So until then, do take any rumours regarding the Core i7-8809G and other Intel G-series processors with a grain of salt.
