A list of flagship smartphones for 2018 running Qualcomm’s new high-end chip, the Snapdragon 845 has been leaked online. The list even include the release date for each devices which made it rather interesting.
For those who not familiar with the chip, the Snapdragon 845 carries a number of improvements including 4K 60fps recording capability, and 480fps slow-mo video recording at 720p. Aside from increased graphical performance and power efficiency, the chip’s new X20 LTE modem promises better network speed as well.
As for the list itself, here it is:
If the list is true, the Snapdragon 845 arrival in the market will start with Samsung Galaxy S9/S9+ in February; possibly sometime during MWC 2018. LG is also expected to launch their LG G7/G7+ during the same time period.
Other notable models includes two Sony Xperia XZ2 and Xperia XZ Pro-A alongside Google Pixel 3, Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 and OnePlus 6/6T. The list seems rather incomplete though as we don’t see Xiaomi Mi 7 in it which is one of the devices that have been confirmed to carry the new chip. (EDIT: Xiaomi Mi 7 is in the list, we missed it at first. Thanks to everyone that pointed it out.)
Hence, do take the list with a grain of salt as nothing is confirmed yet so far. If it is actually correct though, you can expect to see at least one brand new flagship smartphone powered by Snapdragon 845 on almost every month in 2018.
