If you happen to be using an honor 8 Pro, good news: you can now try out EMUI 8.0. It’s only the beta version, of course, so there may be a few bugs here and there.
Based on Android 8.0 Oreo, EMUI 8.0 comes with a number of new features and improvements. These include Picture-in-picture Mode, a revamped notification system, Autofill, and a slew of other improvements in the background.
To join the beta program, all you have to do is follow the steps outlined here. Once you’ve done that, you should be able to update to the beta version of EMUI 8.0. On top of that, you can also report issues with the beta in the “report” page.
As a high-end smartphone, the honor 8 Pro comes with pretty respectable hardware. These include a 5.7-inch 1440p display, a HiSilicon Kirin 960 processor paired with 6GB of RAM, 64GB of expandable storage, and a generous 4,000mAh battery. It also comes with a 12MP monochrome + 12MP RGB dual-camera system on the back and an 8MP front-facing shooter.
Originally going for RM1,999, the honor 8 Pro now retails for slightly less at RM1,799. However, if you dig around, you can get the high-end device for as low as RM1,595.
