Launched in Malaysia earlier this year, HTC’s first 2017 flagship, the HTC U Ultra, is now going for considerably less than its launch price. Originally retailing at RM2,999, the premium smartphone can now be purchased for only RM1,398 – that’s a huge price difference.
However, it’s worth noting that the U Ultra received an official price cut a couple of months ago. It was retailing at RM1,999 then, and a free RE camera is bundled with the device too.
This latest promotion, on the other hand, is offered by DirectD. As part of its Mega Sale, the retailer is offering the U Ultra for RM1,398. Naturally, this is an official set with warranty by HTC Malaysia.
For RM1,398, the U Ultra offers plenty value for money. It comes with a 5.7-inch 1440p Super LCD 5 display, a secondary 2.05-inch display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM, 64GB of expandable storage, and a 3,000mAh battery.
In the camera department, the U Ultra is equipped with a 12MP f/1.8 rear camera with optical image stabilisation and phase detection – as well as laser – autofocus. The front-facing camera, on the other hand, is a 16MP shooter.
DirectD’s Mega Sale will be ending on 2 January 2018, so it’s highly likely this promotional price for the HTC U Ultra will end then too. If you’re keen to get the U Ultra at this price point, head on to DirectD’s online store here.
