A render from a case maker Olixar, may have revealed first look at the Samsung Galaxy S9. Olixar released (or maybe leaked) a couple of renders of its upcoming cases for the Samsung Galaxy S9, complete with the phone in the picture.
As expected, two Galaxy S9 models were involved in the leak. The smaller Galaxy S9 will have a single camera at the back, while the larger model will have the dual-camera module. Samsung looks to have relocated the phone’s fingerprint scanner to a more optimal position.
Also the leak indicates that Samsung will keep the overall look from the Galaxy S8 intact – including the headphone jack. This will be good news to fans of the 3.5mm audio jack.
At the same time, benchmarks of the the Galaxy S9 have appeared on Geekbench. This looks to be the (presumably) US version, seeing that it sports a Qualcomm processor instead of the Samsung made Exynos. It also shows a device sporting 6GB RAM.
The upcoming flagship received a single-core score of 2422, and a multi-core score of 8351. The reigning champion for Android smartphones last year was the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, albeit running the Exynos 8895 processor; even then the single-core score is only 1950.
