According to a number of rumors, Microsoft is apparently working on a mobile device that features foldable form factor. Several patent filings have also pointed to the same conclusion and if you are wondering how the product might look like in real life, designer David Breyer has released several 3D renders based on the latest set of patents.
In terms of its exterior, David has applied the same design language from existing Surface devices which is rather apt since it is one of Surface’s well-known trait. Additionally, the designer has also posted renders that depict several usages modes that users might be able to utilize on the device.
Do note that patents don’t always translate into a full-blown product although they might turn up some way or another on other future devices. Even if they do, the end product would probably look rather different than these renders.
Nevertheless, the 3D renders that David has crafted looked absolutely amazing and it is now easier to imagine what kind of potential that the device might have if Microsoft choose to turn the foldable device into a reality.
