DxOMark recently has published its review on the photography capability of Xiaomi Mi Note 3. Interestingly, the image lab has rated the phone quite highly against many of higher-end devices in the market.
Awarded with a score of 90 points, this put Mi Note 3 on the same level as HTC U11 which carries a much higher price tag. Another phone that has similar score in the DxOMark chart is Google Pixel although this particular phone was launched more than a year ago.
At the same time, the score also means that the Mi Note 3 has higher ranking than Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. Just like Google Pixel, these are 2016’s phones but the score also put Mi Note 3 in higher position than Sony Xperia XZ Premium which was launched earlier this year and features more sophisticated camera setup.
According to DxOMark, the lab was really impressed by the quality of output produced by Mi Note 3 in both indoor and outdoor conditions alongside fast autofocus despite having some issues with moving subjects. DxOMark has also noted the inclusion of zoom and bokeh feature into the phone’s camera helped provide additional value to Mi Note 3.
As interesting as the review might sounds like, it is rather unfortunate that Xiaomi has decided not to release Mi Note 3 into Malaysia.
