We may be nearing the end of the year, but it appears Huawei has yet another device to launch later today. Dubbed the Nova 2S, it appears to be a pretty high-end smartphone with an 18:9 display and dual-camera systems on the rear and front.
As usual, these leaked images of the Nova 2S come from Evan Blass – one of the most well-known leakers in the mobile space. Based on the images of the 2S Blass shared, the upcoming device seems to sport a rather premium-looking design with an 18:9 display, a front-facing fingerprint sensor, as well as a glass and metal construction.

Aside from the leaked images, the Nova 2S’ hardware have been detailed by other parties as well. The 2S is expected to feature a 6-inch 1080p display, a Kirin 960 chipset – the very same processor found in the Huawei P10 and honor 8 Pro smartphones – paired with 4GB or 6GB of RAM, up to 256GB of internal storage, as well as a 3,340mAh battery.
Other rumoured specifications of the Nova 2S include a 16MP + 20MP dual-camera system on the back, two front-facing shooters, as well as Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box – it will most likely run on Huawei’s very own EMUI 8.0.
The Huawei Nova 2S is expected to be unveiled in Beijing, China later today. If these leaked specifications are accurate, we’re looking at the most well-equipped Nova smartphone yet.
