The honor View 10 was launched earlier today, and we just learned that honor’s latest flagship smartphone will be coming to Malaysia in the near future. In fact, it’s set to arrive here as early as next month.
This was detailed in honor’s global press release for the View 10. According to the Chinese company, the flagship phone will be available from 8 January 2018 in a number of markets, including Malaysia, India, Western Europe, as well as the US.
Much like how it has always been with honor’s flagship smartphones, the View 10 shares quite a number of similarities with Huawei’s high-end phone; more specifically, the Huawei Mate 10 Pro. It has a similar 6-inch 1080p 18:9 FullView Display, a Kirin 970 chipset paired with 6GB of RAM, as well as 128GB of internal storage.
However, the View 10 is a more practical smartphone. Not only does it support expandable storage, it also comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack; two features that are sorely missing on the Mate 10 Pro. That being said, the View 10 doesn’t have the Pro’s IP67 rating.
Other specifications of the View 10 include a 20MP + 16MP dual-camera system, a 13MP front-facing shooter, and EMUI 8.0 based on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. Interestingly, the View 10 also comes with “3D Facial Animation” feature, which works very similarly to Apple’s Animoji.
The honor View 10 is expected to be released in Malaysia on 8 January 2018. As we get closer to the launch date, we should learn more about the phone’s availability here – its local retail price will be particularly interesting.
