honor has unveiled the flagship Honor View 10. Also known as the V10 in China, the View 10 shares many features with the Mate 10 Pro, but comes in at a more affordable price.
The View 10 sports a 6-inch 18:9 1080 x 2060 resolution screen up front; powered by Huawei’s own HiSilicon Kirin 970 chipset and a 6GB/128GB memory combination. It has dual cameras at the back like the Mate 10 Pro, but with some slight changes – the RGB sensor is a 16 megapixel unit and the monochrome sensor weighs in at 20 megapixels.
Underneath the metal body is a 3750mAh battery paired with Huawei’s fast charging technology. The company claims that it takes about 90 minutes to fully charge the phone from 0%.
honor managed to place the fingerprint sensor on the front of the device, just below the tall display. It makes unlocking easy on flat surface and at the same time awkward when held in the hand. Of course, there is also face-unlock available for those who want something faster than using fingerprints.
The View 10 features Android Oreo with Huawei’s EMUI 8.0 overlay present. Unfortunately, honor did not equip the phone with stereo speakers nor IP68 rating. As a consolation, the phone supports two SIM cards; with the second slot being a hybrid for microSD memory expansion. There is both USB Type-C and 3.5mm audio jack, proving both ports can live on the same device.
The honor View 10 will come in either Black or Blue, and be on sale from early January, with a sticker price of GBP 449.99 (RM 2456).
