Gigabyte has unveiled a new addition to its lineup of X299 motherboards called the X299 Designare EX. Prior to this, the company had showcased the X399 Designare EX motherboard a few weeks ago. According to folks at TechPowerUp, the PCB design on this motherboard is very similar to the one found on the earlier released Aorus X299 Gaming 7.
Speaking of design, the Gigabyte X299 Designare EX features an all black PCB along with some components that are endowed in metallic accents. Of course, being a 2017 motherboard, the X299 Designare EX comes with plenty of LED-lit areas as well. As many of our dear readers may have known, the X299 Designare EX comes fitted with an LGA2066 socket, which is only compatible with Intel’s Core-X processors.
Other specifications of this motherboard include five PCIe x16 slots (running at different modes); three M.2 connectors; six SATA 6Gbps ports; along with several USB 3.1 Type-C, USB 3.1 Type-A ports and USB 2.0 ports. Oh and also not forgetting the fact that the X299 Designare EX does come with Intel Optane memory support.
Unfortunately, Gigabyte has not mentioned the local date of availability and price of the X299 Designare EX. That said, we do expect the company to make an announcement regarding the aforementioned details soon – should the company intend to bring the X299 Designare EX to Malaysia, of course.
