Mega Man is returning to the gaming scene next year. The franchise, seemingly run out of steam in 2010, will introduce Mega Man 11 in late 2018; with a completely new art style. For a change, it looks like there’s hope for the series.
Capcom looks to have ditched the old sprite style animation, giving Mega Man a new blend of 3D models on 2D backgrounds. Probably stealing the idea from Mighty No. 9, which was inspired by Mega Man and completing the circle of inspiration and creativity.
There’s little else being said about the game, with Capcom only showing a small amount of gameplay in the announcement video. It looks like everything we know and love about the series will be making a return, with few deviations from the established formula.
Mega Man 11 is set to arrive on Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One next year.
