In a short teaser that was posted at its Facebook page, Brightstar has officially confirms that OnePlus 5T will be released in Malaysia soon. First revealed to the world few weeks ago, the new device is the latest flagship smartphone from OnePlus.
However, the teaser video which went online at 1:13pm was removed from the page not long after it was published on the page. We still managed to snap several shots of the 6-seconds video though:
Even though the 5T is still powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 just like its predecessor, there are still a number of new features that separate them apart. Among them is the 6-inch AMOLED 18:9 FHD+ display that OnePlus has sourced from Samsung.
There is also the new dual rear camera setup that features 16MP and 12MP sensors. Additionally, 5T’s fingerprint sensor has been relocated to the back since its 18:9 screen takes more space than the screen on its predecessor.
As you seen from the screenshots above, Brightstar didn’t reveal any release date or pricing information for the phone in Malaysia. If you need a reference, the official launch price for the 5T with 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage is USD 499 (about RM 2,033) while the 8GB/128GB model goes for USD 559 (about RM 2,278).
