It looks like more new features will soon arrive on everyone’s favourite photo sharing app: Instagram. According to folks at The Next Web, Instagram is currently testing a “Regram” button on its app, which will allow users to repost another user’s photo on his / her own profile. In addition, there are also a host of other new, unreleased features that are currently being tested as well.
Prior to the addition of a Regram button, Instagram users had to either resort to manually saving a photo to repost later or use a third party app like Regram. Of course, give the fact that there is already an app named Regram, we do expect Instagram to name its “new button” differently – probably.
Also coming to future iterations of the Instagram app is GIF search for Stories. Besides that, the Instagram Beta app will also finally be made available to iOS devices (an app that has been on Android for quite some time now). That said, it may only be available to select few individuals.
Other notable unreleased features that may be implemented on Instagram include: archiving stories, closest friends lists, share to WhatsApp, top emoji and hashtag lists; and many more. Unfortunately, there are no indications as to when the aforementioned features will be made available to the “consumer-ready” Instagram app. We’ll just have to wait and see.
