We recently have been hearing a lot about what seems to be a new phone from Xiaomi which is called Redmi Note 5. Said to carry 18:9 display, this particular phone still has not been officially confirmed by the company just yet but however, there are actually two other upcoming 18:9 devices that have been teased by Xiaomi today.
Called Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus, their 18:9 displays were clearly shown in the teaser (shown below) which features Chinese idol group SNH48 and was published on Xiaomi’s Weibo page few hours ago. Not only that, the teaser also stated that both devices will be officially launched on 7 December.
There are also another set of teasers (shown below) that have confirmed the phones’ 18:9 display. Other images within the set have also revealed two more features that will be equipped in Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus including soft selfie, and 4000mAh battery.
Other than these main traits, there are no other official details have been revealed regarding either devices. Nevertheless, previously leaked information suggested that the Redmi 5 will carry 5.7-inch HD+ display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 450, 3GB RAM, 16/32GB internal storage, 12MP rear camera, and 5MP front camera.
As for Redmi 5 Plus, it is apparently will feature a 5.99-inch FHD+ display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 625, and dual rear camera with 12MP and 5MP sensors. Given that its official launch date is only a week away, we shall know how accurate all this information will be very soon.
