Several weeks ago, ASUS has introduced its first ever smartphone with 18:9 display in China called Pegasus 4S. Now, we have learned that it might be released in Malaysia soon.
This is based on its recent appearance on SIRIM’s database. The phone which also known via its model number ASUS_X018D, has been processed by the certification body and is listed on the database on 22 November 2017. Additionally, the phone has been registered by Dynamics Distribution which is the distributor of ASUS smartphones for our market.
Based on our past experiences, ASUS usually would not used China’s product name for its devices that is meant for Malaysia. Hence, the phone would most probably be called by its alternative name, the ZenFone Max Plus M1 once it arrived in Malaysia.
Aside from its 5.7-inch 18:9 HD+ display, the Pegasus 4S is powered by MediaTek MT6750T with 4GB and can be obtained with up to 64GB internal storage. It also carries a dual camera system that features 16MP and 8MP sensors as well as an 8MP front camera.
Another attraction of this phone is its humongous 4130mAh battery. We don’t know if these specs will be retained for the phone’s release in Malaysia but given its appearance on SIRIM, we don’t think that we have to wait too long before the answer appears.
