Alcatel 5 Previewed In China

TCL has previewed its latest smartphone at the recent China Mobile Global Partner Conference Forum. The Alcatel 5, also known as TCL A5, features an unusual asymmetrical bezel; thanks to the company cramming everything into the upper portion of the phone.

The screen is an 5.7-inch display set in the current 18:9 aspect ration trend. At the heart of the phone is MediaTek’s MT6750T octa-core processor, the same processor used in the Oppo A77 and the Alcatel 7. Imaging is handled by a single rear camera (no resolution specified) and dual front cameras clocking at 16-megapixels a piece. The selfie camera features may include artificial bokeh, thanks to the two lenses.

Alcatel5 1No RAM nor storage specification was mentioned, and the phone is expected run Android 7.0 out of the box. The fingerprint scanner sits at the back of the phone, just below the main camera sensor. Alcatel is aiming for some sort of rapport with audiophiles, as the Alcatel 5 will be featuring Dirac HD Sound for high quality audio reproduction.
