Now that the iPhone 8 and iPhone X are official, and are available in most countries including Malaysia, what about Apple’s “affordable” iPhone SE? According to rumours, the Cupertino company will launch the iPhone SE 2 early next year. The device will be exclusively manufactured by Wistron in India, who is already manufacturing some of the current iPhone SE.
Focus Taiwan reports the next generation iPhone SE will ship in the first quarter of 2018. This is in line with the launched the iPhone SE, which was launched in March 2016.
While the report did not provide any further details about the handset, previous report suggests that it could feature a faster A10 chipset found on the iPhone 7. Other specs include 2GB of RAM with 32GB / 128GB of internal storage, and a slightly larger 1700mAh battery. Camera wise, the iPhone SE 2 is speculated to feature a 12MP rear camera, and a 5MP FaceTime camera at the front.
So, how will the next generation iPhone SE look like? Will it still retain a similar design as the iPhone SE, which looks like an iPhone 5s? Will Apple use the same iPhone X-like design, removing the Home Button, and creating a notch at the top? We can only wait for the official announcement to know for sure. Meanwhile, this concept design of an iPhone SE with an iPhone X-like design sure looks cool.
