The arrival of this beast has been confirmed earlier this year and the launch has finally takes place today. Originally revealed at the company’s media event in New York few months ago, the new Acer Predator Triton 700 is now in Malaysia.
Interestingly, Acer has decided to release the laptop in two different variants in Malaysia. The first variant offers the same graphics option that we saw in New York which features NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Max-Q while the other variant is equipped with the standard NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060.
Each models also have their own memory and storage options with the GTX 1080 variant offers 32GB DDR4 RAM and 512GB PCIe solid stated drive in RAID 0 mode while the GTX 1060 carries half of those. At the same time, only the GTX 1080 model is equipped with 120Hz panel and support for NVIDIA G-SYNC technology even though both versions of Triton 700 feature 15.6-inch full HD IPS display.
Other than what we mentioned above, they are pretty much identical to each other. Powered by Intel Core i7-7700HQ, both laptops which have a thickness of only 18.9mm also come with RGB low-profile mechanical keyboard, Corning Gorilla Glass touchpad, Killer Wireless-AC 1535 Wi-Fi adapter, and Killer E2500 Gigabit Ethernet controller.
They also carry Acer TrueHarmony speakers, Dolby Atmos enhancement for headphones output, and 54 Whr 3-cell battery. Available immediately through Acer retailers nationwide as well as online, the GTX 1080-based Predator Triton 700 is priced at RM 13,999 while the GTX 1060 variant can be obtained for RM 9,999.
