Announced just a couple of months ago, the 3G variant of the modern-day Nokia 3310 may be arriving in Malaysia very, very soon. If you don’t quite fancy the current 3310, this may be the version for you.
We first spotted the Nokia 3310 3G while we were going through SIRIM’s database; phones have to be registered with the certification body first before they can be officially sold on our shores. Registered under Avaxx and TNS Mobile with the model number “TA-1006,” this is in fact the 3G variant of the Nokia 3310.
In comparison to the standard Nokia 3310, the 3G model comes with dedicated Facebook and Twitter apps; it also features larger internal storage at 64MB instead of only 16MB. Other specifications of the phone include a 2.4-inch QVGA display, a 2MP rear camera, as well as up to 27 days of standby time.
Now that the Nokia 3310 3G is already registered with SIRIM, we imagine it will only be a matter of time before it’s officially sold here in Malaysia. Considering that the current 3310 retails at RM239, the 3G model should go for slightly more.
