It might be rather unusual for the company, but it seems that TM has somehow manage to appear under the limelight quite often lately. This time around, we have learned that TM has started offering speed upgrades promo to its UniFi customers since earlier this week.

Based from our brief search, it seems that the promo comes in two versions. As reported by SoyaCincau and Lowyat.NET Forums members, the first version offers existing customers to upgrade their plan to the next fastest speed for additional RM 10 per month on top of what they are already paying at the moment.

UniFi RM 10 Speed Upgrade

Not only that, the speed upgrade promo which is apparently called Bonanza Plus will also be accompanied by HyppTV Jumbo Pack. While customers’ contract will be refreshed to 24 months if they choose to take the offer, the monthly fee will apparently remain the same even after their contract tenure has ended in two years’ time.

However, it is only being offered to selected customers via SMS. Not only that, the actual monthly fee that customers need to pay varies from one another as it depends on their existing plan. Meanwhile, some of our forumers that didn’t receive the SMS have actually tried calling TM’s customers service to obtain the upgrade although the results were rather mixed.

As for the second version of the speed upgrade promo, it is meant for new customers. According to the brochure shown above which was captured by one of our forumer that visited TMpoint Alor Setar few days ago, users need to pay RM 10 to get their hands on the next fastest plan although the actual fee that they need to pay was not mentioned in the document.

Nevertheless, there is one thing from the brochure’s Terms & Conditions (shown below) that stands out very clearly: the promotional price is only valid for the first 24-months which sounds identical to the Bonanza Campaign that was leaked out few weeks ago.

As interesting as these promos might looks like, none of them have been officially announced by TM. We’ll be reaching out to the company to obtain their official comment but if the promo above sounds good to you, it might be better to visit your nearest TMpoint or give a call to TM’s customer service at 100 for faster clarifications.
