SecretLab is introducing new updated versions of its top selling gaming chairs. Both the Omega and Throne now feature improvements to make them more ergonomic and comfortable; including a completely new lumbar support pillow.
The new pillow now uses an all new space-age memory foam. This one looks much taller and wider than the one currently being offered by SecretLab. Each chair will see a slightly different pillow, but the company is saying that they have been redesigned to provide better back support.
Armrests on both the Omega and Throne are seeing similar upgrades. The 2018 models will have much wider armrests, with more ergonomic contouring.
Less visible improvements are also being introduced. A new hydraulic piston allows the chairs more range in height adjustments. According to SecretLab, this is to cater to a greater variety of customer heights. The inner cushion is also improved for better distribution of weight across the entire seat.
SecretLab Omega 2018
The SecretLab Omega 2018 will ship with more prominent backrest wings, designed to reduce stress on backs and shoulders. It’s set to retail for SG$620 (about RM1,900), but will be available at a special launch price of SG$469 (about RM1,440).
SecretLab Throne 2018
Meanwhile, the SecretLab Throne 2018 has a far more drastic redesign, having dropped the bucketseat idea. Also gone are the aggressive racing stripes and slots in the headrest. This will still be the product with more colour, but will now end up looking closer to a properly ergonomic chair. It will retail for SG$500 (about RM1,540), but will be available at a launch sale price of SG$399 (about RM1,225).
Both chairs will be available through SecretLab’s website and are scheduled to be shipped from the third week of December 2017.
