Fossil’s range of Q smartwatches just received a new addition today. Dubbed the Fossil Q Control, this Android Wear device sports a rather interesting hardware – a touch-sensitive bezel.
Much like how the rotatable bezels of the Samsung Gear S2 and Gear S3 work, users can use the Q Control’s touch-sensitive bezel to navigate through the watch’s interface. It may not be quite as satisfying to use as Samsung’s clicky rotatable bezel, but we reckon it’s a pretty intuitive navigation method.
Aside from the touchscreen bezel, the Q Control is also rated at 5 ATM: it is essentially water-resistant up to 50m. According to Fossil, the Q Control is “swimproof,” and users can use the MySwimPro app to track your swimming routines.
Other specifications of the Q Control include a 45mm circular case, a 20mm silicone strap – it can be swapped with standard 20mm straps – a Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor paired with 768MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage, as well as Android Wear 2.0 out of the box.
The Fossil Q Control smartwatch is currently available for purchase in the US for $275 – that comes up to about RM1,150. It remains to be seen if the Q Control will be sold officially in Malaysia.
