Apple does not make laptops like the MacBook Air anymore – which is probably why Apple continues to manufacture them as an alternative to the super-thin MacBook. Today, Lazada gives us another reason to get the MacBook Air 13: discounts of up to RM900.
The e-commerce giant is selling both the 2017 4GB/128GB and 2-17 8GB/256GB models of the MacBook Air 13 at really steep discounts this 11/11. Where the 4GB/128GB model currently retails for RM4,199 at the Apple Online Store, Lazada is selling the same model for RM3,499 – RM700 less.
But the better deal has to be the 8GB/256GB model: Apple’s retail price for this laptop is RM4,999 – Lazada is selling this variant for just RM4,099. If this model is sold out (which we quite expect), there is an IT seller listing this model at RM4,199 – still a massive, massive discount.
With the extra storage space and RAM, the RM600 extra is actually very worth it. In fact, these prices are actually considerably cheaper than similar configurations for premium Windows Ultrabooks (though these MacBooks are still running on 5th-gen Intel Core i processors).
In fact, these prices are much lower than Apple’s education pricing. With a discount as steep as these, it won’t be surprising to see these two laptops going out of stock by the end of the day.
