First announced to the world in October, the latest iteration of HP Spectre x360 will be heading to Malaysia soon. This was announced by HP Malaysia during its product showcase yesterday which also include the second-generation HP Spectre 13 and several other new devices that will be released for our market soon.
As compared to the new iteration of Spectre 13, the changes that HP has done to its 2017 Spectre x360 is more subtle. If you looked closed enough, then you would notice that the new model has angular edges especially on its rear area as opposed to last year’s model which comes with smoother, rounded edges.
HP has also positioned the thermal vents on the new model to the rear part of the laptop and added a fingerprint reader that acts as another biometric security feature in addition to the existing Windows Hello camera. Accompanied by a stylus that supports Windows Ink, users apparently able to choose HP Sure View integrated privacy screen for their 2017 Spectre x360 as well.
Not surprisingly, the biggest change that the new model brings to the table is the new eight generation Intel Core quad-core processors. Available with either Core i5 or i7, the general specifications for second generation Spectre 13 also includes up to 4K display, 16GB LPDDR3 memory, and 1TB PCIe-based solid state drive.
Offering battery life of up to 16.5 hours, the new model can be charged from 0% to 90% in just 90 minutes with the help of its Fast Charge feature. While its pricing has yet to be revealed by HP Malaysia, we were informed that the 2017 HP Spectre x360 will arrive in our market this December.
