The Samsung Galaxy S8 just received a new colour option. Launched in South Korea not too long ago, the Galaxy S8 is now available in Burgundy Red, and it’s quite an attractive-looking colour.
While the front of the Burgundy Red Galaxy S8 is still black, the frame, buttons and glass back panel are all in a striking red hue now. Based on the product video, the new S8 variant also comes with a glossy frame; much like other colour options of the phone.

Aside from the colour difference, the Galaxy S8 is Burgundy Red has the same hardware as previous models. These include an impressive 5.8-inch 1440p Super AMOLED Infinity Display, a Samsung Exynos 8895 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM, 64GB of expandable storage, and a 3,000mAh battery.
In the camera department, this version of the Galaxy S8 still comes with the very capable 12MP f/1.7 dual-pixel shooter with optical image stabilisation. The front-facing shooter, on the other hand, is an 8MP camera complete with autofocus.
At the time of writing, it remains to be seen if the Samsung Galaxy S8 in Burgundy Red will be made available in Malaysia. However, seeing how new colour options of the Korean company’s smartphones are usually launched here too, there’s a pretty good chance Malaysians will be able to get their hands on the striking red Galaxy S8 in the future.
