Huawei’s latest flagship smartphone – and arguably the company’s best one yet – has received a retail price. Set to be available for pre-order from 16 November, the Huawei Mate 10 Pro is priced at RM3,099 in Malaysia – that’s a pretty competitive price tag.
The Mate 10 Pro is really a sleeker and more feature-rich variant of the standard Huawei Mate 10. The Pro comes with a taller and narrower 6-inch 18:9 1080p OLED display, a Kirin 970 chipset paired with 6GB of RAM, 128GB of non-expandable storage, as well as a generous 4,000mAh battery.
However, unlike the regular Mate 10, the Mate 10 Pro does not come with a headphone jack. In exchange, the latter is IP67-rated, which makes it dust- and water-resistant to an extend. The Mate 10 Pro also comes with a 12MP + 20MP dual-camera system with large f/1.6 aperture (on both lenses) and an 8MP front-facing shooter.
To sweeten the pre-order of the Mate 10 Pro, Huawei Malaysia in bundling quite a number of freebies for early birds. Those who place their pre-order between 16 to 19 November will receive a Huawei Body Scale, a Huawei Colour Band A2, and a VIP service card, which offers one-to-one replacement for screen damage within the first three months of ownership, as well as warranty door-to-door delivery service. All of these are worth RM999. Those who are keen can pre-order the Mate 10 Pro on Vmall as well as 3ex from 16 November onwards.
For RM3,099, the Huawei Mate 10 Pro really does seem like a pretty good buy, especially for a flagship smartphone of its calibre. If you’re wondering if you should pre-order it, expect our full review of the Mate 10 Pro sometime this week!
