In conjunction with the official opening of Authorized Mi Store in Suria KLCC today, Xiaomi has brought out two surprises for our market. They come in the form of Mi Mix 2 and Redmi Note 5A Prime.
As you might know, the Mi Mix 2 offers a 18:9 5.99-inch display and powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 alongside 6GB of RAM and 64 GB internal storage. It also carries 12MP PDAF camera with 4-axis optical image stabilization.
In a rather surprise twist, Xiaomi decided to release Redmi Note 5A Prime using the same name as per Chinese market. If you missed it, the phone was launched in India recently as the Redmi Y1.
One of its main attraction is the phone’s 16MP f/2.0 wide-angle selfie camera which is also accompanied by an LED flash. The Redmi Note 5A Prime is also equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 435, 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, and 13MP f/2.2 PDAF main camera
The pre-order for Mi Mix 2 opens starts on 11 November before released for sale on 16 November. As for Redmi Note 5A Prime, it will be available for purchase directly on 11 November.
Price-wise, the new Mi Mix 2 goes for RM 2199 while the Redmi Note 5A Prime can be obtained for RM 699. Both of these devices are currently on display at the newly opened Authorized Mi Store in Suria KLCC.
