Neffos is better known for its affordable smartphones here in Malaysia, but a leaked render shows that the company may be stepping into the high-end market with some style.
Not much is yet known about the device, with the initial source coming from a Ukrainian website. The Neffos flagship smartphone looks to feature an edge-to-edge screen a la the Samsung Galaxy S8. Granted, the front render looks a little too similar to the S8 (making this potentially nothing more than a fan-made render or concept), but the rear looks to be a unique design.
The rumoured specs list also reads like most 2017 flagships, including a Snapdragon 835, a 18:9 ratio display with a resolution of 2160 x 1080, and a high screen-to-body ratio. The Neffos phone may also ship with 6GB of RAM, and may have internal storage of up to 256GB on board.
Like many flagships right now, the Neffos phone will have a dual-camera setup at the rear. It supposedly comprises of a 16MP wide-angle lens paired with a 20MP unit with 2x optical zoom. Underneath the two cameras is the fingerprint scanner – a standard fare for Neffos. Selfies meanwhile will be handled by a 16MP sensor on the front.
For now, it is still early days with no confirmed dates for this Neffos phone. Plus, as it is better known for its affordable entry- and mid-range lineup, this will mark as a major shift in strategy. After all, its last “premium” smartphone was the Neffos X1, which was released back in IFA 2016 – well over a year ago.
